On May 6, about 100 people from each of the ministries and members of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace helped pack 26,000 meals for the community of Milot, Haiti. This annual ministry-wide service project allows us to gather as a family of ministries grounded in the mission and core values of the Congregation.

Peace Ministries held its first-ever Communications Consortium. On April 24, a gathering was held with communications, marketing and development staff from each of the five ministries. It was a fruitful day of formation, networking and resource sharing.

Holy Name celebrated its 100^th Anniversary Founders Ball at MetLife Stadium and honored the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.

Athena Toledo is an art specialist for two of our sponsored ministries—St. Joseph’s School for the Blind and Peace Care. Though she works with both young students and elderly residents, her goal is the same: to provide a creative space where each person can feel a sense of independence and pride.

Holy Name has a brand-new Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. A dedication ceremony was held on October 4 for the state-of-the-art NICU.

City Hall in Jersey City honored Blindness Awareness Month with a flag-raising ceremony on October 2, recognizing students and staff from St. Joseph’s School for the Blind.

In response to a request from the senior leaders and trustees of the five sponsored ministries, the first-ever mid-year formation program was held on Aug. 1. The nearly 40 participants reflected on “Leadership in Our Tradition: The Call to Deep Listening.”

Holy Name is the winner of the 2024 Achievement Citation from the Catholic Health Association. The hospital received this honor for its work in Milot, Haiti.

The Peace Ministries Board and Congregation Leadership Team recently participated in a joint day of formation. The event focused on themes from last year’s board formation and the Ministry Leader Fall Formation Day. It also introduced new themes of synodality and synodal leadership.
