Peace Ministries Communications Consortium

Peace Ministries held its first-ever Communications Consortium. On April 24, a gathering was held with communications, marketing and development staff from each of the five ministries. It was a fruitful day of formation, networking and resource sharing.

The event had been an objective in the communications pillar of Peace Ministries’ overall strategic plan, approved in 2020. This opportunity helped provide a cohesive understanding of the relationship between the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, Peace Ministries and the sponsored ministries.

After a welcome and opening prayer, Sister Susan Francois, Assistant Congregation Leader, presented on CSJP Culture. She discussed the founding of the Congregation and its regions, charism and core values.

The group then visited the archives, learning more about the materials housed there and ways in which they can access them. Historical items from each ministry were also on display for the group.

The day ended with a communications presentation from Peace Ministries staff members Aileen Dibra and Kelly Marsicano. They spoke on topics including communications in the current climate, social campaigns, common language and cross-promotion. Meaningful discussions followed.

As Executive Director Maureen Donohue said, “We hope and believe this is the beginning of even more collaboration to come.”
